Stop Hate Crime

Surrey Police has introduced Neighbourhood Specialist Officers to work with local councils, residents' associations, youth workers and voluntary groups towards the reduction and prevention of crime and disorder in local communities across Surrey.

Working closely with these police officers are Police Community Support Officers.

Instantly recognisable in their blue uniform, with blue shirt and cap with a blue band rather than the police officer's chequered one (for patrolling they will sometimes also wear a fluorescent jacket), they are equipped with mobile phones and personal radios to help the police maintain close links with your community.
